Position Description
Customer requires the services of contract language instructors with professional proficiency in foreign language speaking, reading, and listening skills (level 3+ and above on the ILR scale) to work 40 hours a week spending approximately 20 hours of teaching and 20 hours of lesson development, student assessment and testing. The contract language instructor(s) shall have demonstrated knowledge of the respective area's history, culture, politics, and economy, as well as working knowledge of foreign language learning technology and teaching methods. They will work under the direction of experienced senior trained instructors. Once on the program, contract instructors are required to complete specific sponsor training on teach mission-focused foreign language skills and conducting foreign language testing to become certified according to sponsor standards.
Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and provide a copy of your U.S. Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.
• B.A./B.S. in education or language preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience teaching adults to include:
  • Teaching and Language Instruction/Facilitation and Language Testing.
  • Translation into English.
  • Content Management (social media, blackboard, etc.).
  • Course Design.
  • Review and revise written products for correctness of written expression.
  • Review and revise products for accuracy and completeness of information and written expression.
  • Focus on processing plans of key media items on regular coverage.
  • Summarize pertinent details of text or recorded material in an easily digestible format.
  • Preparing written reports that include research, reference, or other products, media treatment, and observations.
• Must pass language testing with ILR 4+ in translation (Russian>EN) and 4/4/4 in speaking, listening, reading.
