As a Shift Manager at Buffalo Wild Wings, your primary responsibility is to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, team efficiency, and guest satisfaction. You will lead by example, maintaining a high-energy environment while upholding company standards and delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Core Job Functions and Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff, ensuring teamwork and efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members to maintain high service and operational standards.
- Manage shift schedules, assign duties, and oversee employee performance.
- Handle conflicts and resolve team issues to promote a positive work environment.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Ensure the restaurant operates smoothly during assigned shifts.
- Oversee food quality, presentation, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels.
- Assist in inventory control and communicate stock needs to management.
Guest Experience:
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle guest complaints professionally, offering resolutions that align with company policies.
- Encourage team members to provide outstanding customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Sales & Financial Accountability:
- Support revenue growth through upselling and promoting specials.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures and ensure transaction accuracy.
Communication & Coordination:
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to maintain seamless operations.
- Relay guest feedback and operational concerns to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local health regulations.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting during shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as required.
- Seek assistance from management or HR for any physical limitations.
