Job Description

As a Gear Hobber Machinist, you will be setting up and operating gear hobbing, gear shaping, key seating, and broach machines safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate gear hobbing, gear shaping, key seating, and broach machines
• Work from blueprints and use measuring devices, including tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
• Ability to run multiple machines at once

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2+ years of setting up and operating Gear Hobber, Broach, Key Seating, and/or Gear Shaping machining experience is needed
• Ability to inspect own parts
• Ability to read a ruler, micrometer, and caliper
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints and know shop math
• Attendance and dependability are crucial

The base salary range for this position is $18-28, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
