Position Summary
As an FSQA (Food Safety & Quality Assurance) Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of FSQA Technicians to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality across our bakery operations. You’ll play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining our commitment to excellence in food manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all international, federal, state, and local food regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, Preventive Controls).
Maintain GFSI standards (e.g., BRC, SQF) and documentation control of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Collaborate with operations and support teams to ensure product safety, legality, and quality.
Oversee and improve bakery performance with a focus on Critical to Quality Control Points (CTQCP).
Lead root cause analysis for product/process failures and implement corrective actions.
Manage and train FSQA Technicians; build skills matrices and development plans.
Serve as backup to the FSQA Manager during audits or regulatory inspections.
Monitor raw materials from approved suppliers and ensure compliance with specifications.
Participate in the bakery’s Food Safety Culture (e.g., SIFIRI program) and Environmental Monitoring Program.
Contribute to department KPIs and company-wide targets.
Perform supervisory duties: hiring, coaching, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field, or equivalent experience in the food industry.
3+ years of manufacturing or quality experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
In-depth knowledge of food safety systems such as HACCP, HARPC, GFSI, BRC, SQF.
PCQI and HACCP certification preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong computer proficiency.
